Dhangethi is a centuries-old fishing island in South Ari Atoll — sand streets, frangipani, a harbour of painted dhonis and a pace set entirely by the sea. It is a living, inhabited island, not a resort, and that is the point.
There is no gate here. You share the morning with neighbours, the reef with fishermen, and the evening with whoever is on the beach. Aqua Luna sits quietly among it, eight rooms turned to the water.
Dhangethi is a local island. There is a designated bikini beach for swimwear; please dress modestly in the village. A little care goes a long way here.

Fly to Malé
Arrive at Velana International Airport (MLE), the gateway to the Maldives.
Cross the atoll
A 25-minute domestic flight to Maamigili (VAM), or a scheduled speedboat across South Ari Atoll.
Arrive at Dhangethi
A short transfer brings you to the island. We'll coordinate the timing with your enquiry.
A public ferry runs to Dhangethi several times a week — slower and low-cost, for travellers with time to spare.
